A recent study by the Associated Press, which I read about on PBS Newshour, revealed that A.I. tools like ChatGPT are giving teens dangerous advice on drugs, alcohol, and suicide. My heart sank reading this, but my spirit immediately saw this not as a sign of technology's failure, but as a critical moment for all of us to reframe our approach to A.I.
As an A.I. Evangelist, I believe the greatest challenge A.I. presents isn’t technical; it's a crisis of trust and ethics. The conversation isn't just about what these tools can do, but what we, as leaders, educators, and mentors, are teaching our children they should do.
This is the very essence of Faith Fueled Tech—the intentional practice of bringing our core values into the strategic and ethical use of technology.
We must move beyond fear and become the "human-in-the-loop," guiding the next generation with a moral compass, not just a map. My work focuses on providing a balanced, solution-oriented perspective. I show how A.I. can be an ally for good, empowering individuals with a framework to set ethical guardrails and leverage these tools for positive impact and personal growth.
This is our call to action: to fill the digital responsibility gap with purpose and integrity. It’s time we teach not only digital literacy, but also digital morality, and I am committed to leading that conversation.
What are your thoughts on how we can better prepare the next generation to be responsible digital citizens?
